SUMMER
PRODUCTION 2024
REGISTRATION IS OPEN!
By popular demand!!
A fearless musical about chasing popularity and being true to yourself!
This "fetch" musical from book writer Tina Fey (30 Rock), lyricist Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde) and composer Jeff Richmond (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) is packed with keen wit, an undeniably catchy score, and a sincere message for everyone.

Cady Heron may have grown up on an African savanna, but nothing prepared her for the wild and vicious ways of her strange new home: suburban Illinois. How will this naïve newbie rise to the top of the popularity pecking order? By taking on The Plastics, a trio of lionized frenemies led by the charming but ruthless Regina George. Cady and her friends devise a "Revenge Party" to end Regina’s reign with Cady going undercover as an aspiring Plastic. When the lines between the real Cady and her Plastic self get blurred, she must find her way back to herself and her true friends.

CAMP DETAILS
Q: What sets ACT-1's summer camp experience apart from other theatre camps?
A: Our camps are longer than the average theatre summer camp, allowing our students to explore their artistry more deeply. And because of this extended rehearsal period, we are more likely to be able to work with and around your other vacation plans! More info about that, below!
A longer rehearsal period means a stronger and tighter quality production.
It provides our students with ample time to build a character instead of just playing a role.
They don't merely learn choreography and songs but actually improve their movement technique and singing skills. As a result, your child will grow leaps and bounds in their self-esteem through a transformative session with ACT-1.
On a social level, it also gives our students more time to make connections and deepen their friendships within our theatre community. It is an unforgettable growth experience and a chance to make lasting and meaningful connections with other artists. Especially since Covid, this is such an important and cherished part of production.
And our staff loves that we get the chance to get to know our students more personally!
With the extended camp hours, we have extra time during the camp day for recreation, instead of just working towards a finished product. We have downtime, playing theatre games, and partaking in interesting workshops with visiting guest artists.
Many of our students tell us, "This was the best summer of my life!"
