Acting Class for Beginners
(Beginner level acting students, either brand new to acting OR with some performance experience / training)
Join us as we work on the fundamentals of acting! Through exercises and games, we will playfully discover acting and improv techniques!
Each class has its own focus: movement, character building, monologues, improv, etc!

Acting for Musical Theatre - Teens
This class is geared toward the serious-minded student who strives to refine their acting skills and creative expression. Assignments are given for students to perform in front of class, to practice performing skills and learn to personalize that material. Students may use text analysis to effectively tell a story; learn to activate each line with intention and purpose; gain an understanding of how to create specificity in each moment; etc. We may practice acting technique through song performance. In addition to memorization of monologues, songs or scenes, in-class work will consist of ensemble building exercises, improvisation games and techniques, as well as movement, sound and speech activities. Regular attendance is encouraged, as the session will culminate in a presentation to family and friends of the material we’ve learned!
